Change for Ward 7

We did it! It is an honor to be your newly elected Ward 7 Council Member!

Thank you for all your support from start to finish. Our campaign always sought to bring Ward 7 residents together, focus on the issues and work the plan regardless of what was thrown our way. Together we accomplished a great political victory. Yet I know this win is about something much bigger and I will need your help. We will need all residents and stakeholders to step up and ask: “How can I be a positive force for our great city?”

I am thrilled to get to work for Ward 7 in a just a few short months!

I want to give special acknowledgement to my campaign staff. Our combined work ethic as a group was unmatched, encouraging and spurring each other on.

Sam Branson was my campaign manager from February through June and helped deliver the DFL Endorsement in May before he went off to law school. Patrick Gage became my campaign manager in June and led us to the victorious finish line, bringing great field experience and more. Cindy Murphy has been my Deputy Campaign Manager since the beginning, bringing her expertise in marketing and event planning. Back in 2021, Cindy helped me brainstorm “Your Parks. I’m Listening.” as my parks campaign tagline. Not pictured is my steadfast Campaign Treasurer, Chas Scheiderer, who has helped me keep the books for five years through two campaigns….not an easy task!

I also want to thank my numerous Team Shaffer staffers and super-volunteers! Haifu, Lynn, Phyllis, Britt and Danny spent many hours with us canvassing, phone banking and providing assistance with whatever needed to be done. I also want to thank super-volunteers Steve, Kobi, Mark, Jack and Robin, Mary S., Shannon, Chuck, Franci, Allen, LaDonna, Julie, and Mary T.-M.  I am so proud and grateful for all your hard work!

To everyone who donated, volunteered and cheered us on - I couldn’t have done this without you. This journey with you has been a joy, and it is just beginning!
