Grassroots support
No dirt? No problem.
Thanks to your support, we continue to see great momentum in this very busy season!
We’re on track to host over 20 Meet & Greets throughout Ward 7 by mid-September! The best way to meet a candidate is through a neighbor so thanks to all of you who have hosted or attended these events. We so appreciate your gracious hospitality…the opening of homes, backyards and party rooms, good food, balloons, personalized cookies, garden vegetable take-homes, and live music! Thank you everyone!
Team Shaffer now has more than 1,100 people who have signed up as delegates, donors, or volunteers, or attended a meet-and-greet! Most of us are Ward 7 residents who, like you, are concerned about the direction of our city.
Team Shaffer has knocked 10,000 doors! People understand the importance of local politics and are ready for change.
And maybe you’ve noticed—yard signs are up! At the latest tally, 450 of you have planted signs in your yards and windows. These signs play an incredibly important role in keeping this race in the spotlight from now until November 4. Thank you!
I can’t tell you how much they encourage me and our volunteers as we work hard around Ward 7. Just like the caucus and convention votes, yard signs show a groundswell of support that is grassroots, local, and sometimes even ingenious!
