More gun violence

Yesterday brought news of more gun violence in Minneapolis, with two mass shootings in less than twelve hours. Late morning near the Lake Street transit station by I-35W, five people were shot, one of whom suffered life-threatening injuries. The second shooting took place at 10:00 p.m., just a couple miles away at East Lake Street and 28th Ave. S., with eight victims and four in serious condition.

The Annunciation school shooting was just three weeks ago and the grieving continues. I am committed to do my part to end the scourge of gun violence that’s afflicting our city and our nation. We can and should do better.
