SPS Software commits to Downtown

This is the kind of news we need to celebrate!  Yesterday the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal announced SPS Software renewed a lease for 200,000 square feet of office space in a 15 year deal in Ward 7, Downtown East. SPS plans to renovate its office space as part of the lease renewal.  SPS CEO Chad Collins stated:

“We’re proud to reaffirm our commitment to Minneapolis as our home and headquarters. This city has shaped who we are as a company. Minneapolis is a place of creativity, resilience and connection, qualities that fuel how we work and grow….We’re proud to keep investing here and to be part of building Minneapolis’ future.”

We need our home-grown corporations, and I am thrilled by Collin’s statement of support for Minneapolis. Yet they also need functioning local governance who will realize the importance of small businesses and corporations to our economic vitality. If elected your council member, please know that every budding entrepreneur and Ward 7 business owner will have my utmost respect and support for all they bring to the quality of our life in our city.

Cheers SPS!
