Visiting block parties during National Night Out

It was fantastic to see so many people connecting with neighbors as we celebrated National Night Out on Tuesday! Across Ward 7, Team Shaffer had the joy of visiting over 40 neighborhood block gatherings.

As many of you know, National Night Out is a long-standing tradition established for the purpose of bringing neighbors together to meet one another, interact with law enforcement in a personal, positive way, and emphasize the “community” in community safety. Minneapolis leads the nation in National Night Out participation and I was inspired by how many of you came together for this shared purpose.
